Monthly Meeting Highlights and Other News

Bible Study will be held every Thursday in March at 7:00 pm.

On Saturday, March 3 the Intergenerational Committee will host a service project, covered-dish supper and movie night at the Meetinghouse.  Times and details will be announced at Meeting and by email.  All are welcome to participate in any or all of the activities.   

Our monthly witness for peace and candlelight vigil will be held on Tuesday, March 6 at 7:00 pm.

The Peace and Social Concerns Committee and the Intergenerational Committee will meet together on Thursday, March 8 at 6:00 pm to discuss activities for our biannual retreat to Powell House to be held the weekend of May 18-20.

A Covered-Dish Luncheon will be held Sunday, March 11 at the rise of Meeting.

Meeting for Business will be held on Sunday, March 18 beginning at 12:15 pm.

The Advancement/New Attenders Group will meet on Sunday, March 25 at 12:15 pm.

Handmade Fancy Goods are needed to sell at the Friendly Fair scheduled for Saturday, July 14.  Contact Pat Burke for information on the best selling handicrafts.  Jewelry donations may be placed on the top of the refrigerator.  Please do not drop off white or blue elephant or book donations until May 1. There are several attachments to this newsletter approved at February’s Business Meeting: (1) the State of the Meeting Report for 2012; (2) the committee member list for 2012 that reflects the report of the nominating committee; (3) a Minute acknowledging Quaker participation in slavery and racism; and (4) a Minute in support of the New Jersey Marriage Equality and Religious Exemption Act.
